Using clinical trials and observational studies to develop new ALS patient treatments
Dr. Newman is focused on providing multidisciplinary care to persons with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He is particularly interested in treatment that maintains independent breathing and swallowing function for patients. An element of his care regimen includes offering patients the opportunity to participate in research. This includes joining clinical drug trials and observational studies.
