Rigan joined the NeuroNetwork for Emerging Therapies as a research lab tech associate in January 2020.  She manages pre-clinical in vivo studies across the lab, including genotyping, glucose tolerance testing, and maintaining colonies. She is also the primary technician for all Alzheimer’s projects, which involves immunohistochemistry, tissue culture, qPCR, and in situ hybridization.  In 2014, Rigan received her B.S. in biology with honors from Eastern Michigan University. She initially gained laboratory experience as an undergraduate while working alongside Dr. Robert S. Winning, a developmental biology professor.
