Using data analysis to discover meaningful patterns in neurodegenerative diseases

Dr. Alakwaa's main research interest is to apply established or innovative computational, bioinformatics or statistical algorithm to find meaningful patterns in data in complex diseases like ALS, diabetic neuropathy and Alzheimer’s disease. The long-term research goal of Dr Alakwaa’s research  is to improve outcomes for patients with neurodegenerative disease by developing methods to improve personalized medicine and implementing these methods into clinical practice.
