Janet joined the University’s workforce in 1997 and has held various positions gaining skills in procurement, reconciling expense accounts, running financial reports, and research administration. She worked in the Resident Hall Library program and the College of Engineering’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department before joining the Mental Health Research Institute (MHRI), in 2004. Janet has worked for the Institute for 17 years starting in MHRI through its transition to the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute (MBNI) and now the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI).
Janet is responsible for pre-award research administration, including proposal preparation, submissions, Just In Time (JIT), and progress reports. Additionally, Janet updates MNI faculty biography materials. Janet is the MNI’s liaison to the UM International Center for the purpose of faculty and lab personnel visa support.
