WELCOME

Dr. Scott Leiser to MIP!

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Scott Leiser, who joined our MIP faculty as a tenured track assistant professor in January 2016. Scott is coming to us from the University of Washington, where he completed his postdoctoral fellowship under the direction of Dr. Matt Kaeberlein. Scott’s research interests focus on the hypoxic stress response in C. elegans.  He has had an outstanding record throughout his training beginning with his undergraduate work at the University of California Davis under the guidance of Dr. Carl Schmid, and completing his PhD work here, at the University of Michigan, with Dr. Rich Miller.

Scott also has an appointment as assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine and as a research assistant professor in the Institute of Gerontology. His  laboratory and office space is located in BSRB.

We are fortunate and delighted to have Scott Leiser as a member of our University of Michigan physiology family. Please join me in welcoming Scott ([email protected]) to the University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor community.
