Physiology PhD Andrew Marquis student lands prestigious predoctoral fellowship

Andrew Marquis, PhD student at the Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology, who is conducting his doctoral research in the laboratories of David Pinsky (J. Griswold Ruth MD & Margery Hopkins Ruth Professor of Internal Medicine, and Professor of Molecular & Integrative Physiology) and Daniel Beard (Carl J. Wiggers Collegiate Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology) was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award. This highly competitive award supports talented predoctoral students throughout PhD phases of training.

Andrews investigates is studying how hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction affects lung function using experimental/computational approaches.
