Areas of Interest

My overarching research interests focus on investigating the role mTORC1 pathway plays in human diseases such as diabetes and its renal complications using different mouse models. Currently, my graduate’s project involves examining how podocyte-specific deletion of an E3 ubiquitin ligase contributes to podocyte dysfunction and proteinuria. More importantly, I also aim to explore the crosstalk between oxidative stress and mTORC1 pathway in kidney diseases.
