Claire Creutzfeldt, MD, Assistant Professor of the Department of Neurology, University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA will present Grand Rounds Wednesday, March 20th, 2019

Dr. Creutzfeldt will be presenting "Considering Choices after Severe Acute Brain Injury". Dr. Creutzfeldt is a national leader in the growing field of neuro-palliative care with a particular interest in severe acute brain injury. Her current NINDS-funded K23 grant is studying the palliative care needs of patients and families in the neurological-ICU.

Claire Creutzfeldt, M.D., is a board certified neurologist at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Neurology.
 

Dr. Creutzfeldt believes in working with patients to find out who they are and what is important to them. She also believes in educating patients about their disease, their treatment options and alternatives, with the goal to adapt diagnosis and treatment to what matters most to patients and their families.
 

Dr. Creutzfeldt earned her M.D. at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. She is board certified in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology. Her main clinical and research interests are in neuro-palliative care, especially for patients with severe acute brain injury.
