Erik K. St. Louis, M.D., M.S. is Director of the Mayo Sleep Behavior and Neurophysiology Research Laboratory and Associate Professor and Consultant in Neurology and Sleep Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. He also serves as Research Chair for Mayo Clinic Southwest Wisconsin, La Crosse. Dr. St. Louis previously co-directed the Mayo Center for Sleep Medicine and Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program for four years, and the University of Iowa and Marshfield Clinic Comprehensive Epilepsy Programs for ten years. His research interests include REM sleep behavior disorder and the interfaces between sleep, cognition, and epilepsy. Together with colleagues and mentees, he has authored over 150 original peer reviewed articles, and is the author of 3 books on the topics of Epilepsy and EEG, and over 30 book chapters. Dr. St. Louis currently serves on the AAN Continuum and Sleep Advances Editorial Boards, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program Directors Council.
