Biography
Undergraduate school: LSU
Medical school: LSU- New Orleans
I was born in Ann Arbor and raised in Ocean Springs, MS. I attended LSU (Geaux Tigers!) for my undergraduate degree and went on to work as a field botanist. After a few years of having fun hiking around and writing reports detailing exactly how many plant species were present in one-meter square plots, I decided to pursue medicine at LSU-New Orleans (Geaux Tigers!). Throughout medical school, Neurology drew me in with its insight into how we are who we are. I chose Michigan because of its wide breadth of subspecialty exposure along with the happy, approachable nature of the people in the department. In my free time, I enjoy eating a lot of banana bread and making plans for my future farm (must include lavender fields and lots of goats) with my partner.
Fun fact: Despite my botanical background, I cannot keep any of my houseplants alive.
