Biography

Undergraduate School: Georgia Institute of Technology
Medical School: Mercer University School of Medicine

I was born in the suburbs of Atlanta and, up until residency, had spent my whole life in Georgia. I grew up playing a lot of tennis (I went to high school for ~3 hours a day so that I could practice the rest of the day). I went to college at Georgia Tech, where I played club tennis, studied CS, and most importantly, adopted my now 7-year-old BC mix, Cody. Naturally, Cody needed a brother and so after the Match, I adopted a mini-Aussie named Aspen.

For residency, I knew I wanted to venture out of The South. I looked for programs with strong academics, a large undergraduate campus, and abundant sports/outdoor activities. While Michigan had all those qualities, the real deciding factor was the interview -- I was laughing the whole time and felt instantly at home with the well-rounded, hilarious, energetic, and informal residents and faculty. Since moving to Ann Arbor, I have loved playing pickleball with my co-residents, hanging out at breweries, and exploring the many rivers and parks with my dogs.

Fun fact: I have travelled to 47 countries, a few of which I explored ~solo~.
