Biography
Undergraduate School: University of Michigan
Medical School: Wayne State University
I have spent my life in the “thenar eminence” of Michigan, having grown up in Macomb and having completed my education in Ann Arbor and Detroit. I first fell in love with Ann Arbor when I came here to study cognitive science in undergrad and was thrilled to come back for residency. Although I’ve stayed local, the rest of the world fascinates me, and I love to learn about and discuss world history, languages, cultures, and religions. In my spare time, I like to read, play chess, or get hyper-focused on some new topic or hobby, much to the annoyance of my wonderful wife, Megan.
Fun fact: I am a (small-scale, amateur) beekeeper! Along with my father, we keep a few honeybee colonies every spring and summer, then harvest the honey in the fall.
