Brandon W. Smith, M.D., M.S.

Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurology, Duke University

Biography

Dr. Smith is a neurosurgeon that specializes in surgery on the peripheral nerves. He was drawn to this field when he saw how dramatically a person's life could be altered when their nerves weren't functioning normally. At Duke, Dr. Smith treats nerve entrapment, nerve pain, nerve tumors, ganglion cysts, nerve trauma, brachial plexus injury, limb weakness, and cervical dystonia among others. When he's not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors or in the kitchen.
