Dr. Sheehan attended medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine, receiving his M.D. degree in 2007. He subsequently did an internal medicine internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan followed by his neurology residency training here at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sheehan was the first physician to complete an accredited two-year neurocritical care fellowship here at U-M where he focused on caring for critically ill neurosurgical and neurological patients. After completion of his fellowship, he joined the University of Michigan faculty in the departments of neurosurgery and neurology.
