Dr. Sheehan attended medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine, receiving his M.D. degree in 2007. He subsequently did an internal medicine internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital followed by his neurology residency training here at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sheehan then completed an accredited two-year neurocritical care fellowship here at UM where he focused on learning the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill neurosurgical and neurological patients. Dr. Sheehan was hired as a full-time faculty member at the completion of his fellowship training and works alongside Drs. Fletcher, Jacobs, and Rajajee in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit.
