Castro-Lowenstein Receive Blue Flame Award from Addgene

A true testament to the value of their work and dedication to making research materials easily accessible to others.

Congratulations are due to our Drs. Castro and Lowenstein on receipt of the first-ever Addgene.org Blue Flame Award!

Addgene.org is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making it easier for scientists to share plasmids. To accomplish this goal, they work with thousands of laboratories to assemble a high-quality library of published plasmids for use in research and discovery. By linking plasmids with articles, scientists can always find data related to the materials they request.

Addgene/org reports that the Castro-Lowenstein plasmids are incredibly popular and have been shared many times with researchers throughout the world...

...a true testament to the value of their work and dedication to making research materials easily accessible to others. Their contributions have undoubtedly enabled colleagues to conduct work more quickly and at lower cost, saving time and frustration while accelerating developments in their field.

As a result, Addgene.org has awarded its first Blue Flame Award to congratulate the Castro-Lowenstein Lab on their plasmid contribution that has been distributed more than 100 times to the international research community! Addgene says:

Without researchers like you who generously contribute to our repository, it would not be possible for us to complete our mission of fostering a community of scientific sharing. Thank you for your continued support, and congratulations!
