Neurocritical Care Program

Director: Venkatakrishna Rajajee, M.B.B.S.

The Adult Neurocritical Care Program at the University of Michigan focuses on the treatment of critically ill patients in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit. Our 15-bed Neuro-ICU is staffed by four neurology-trained UCNS-certified neurointensivists as well as faculty from the Department of Anesthesiology. The program is supported by an interdisciplinary team of nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, as well as the consultative support of departments throughout the University of Michigan. Clinical coverage is provided by residents from neurosurgery, neurology, anesthesiology and otolaryngology as well as dedicated mid-level providers.
