The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is dedicated to providing residents with the opportunities, skills, and resources necessary to engage in mentored research training throughout their residency. Established investigators and staff support the successful design and execution of high-quality, resident-initiated research projects. Research projects are tailored to individual interests in varying fields, including basic science, qualitative research, medical education, epidemiology, health services research, quality improvement, and implementation science.
Residents are expected to:
- To gain knowledge and experience in clinical research methods
- To add to the body of research related to the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- To learn to critically appraise medical research
