35th Annual ACOG Junior Fellow Research Day

Our learners received 3 awards at the 35th Annual ACOG Junior Fellow Research Day!

The Michigan Medicine Department of ObGyn had fantastic representation at the 35th Annual ACOG Junior Fellow Research Day.

Complex Family Planning Fellow, Dr. Halley Crissman, MD, MPH, presented an Advocacy Update as the ACOG Junior Fellow Advocacy Chair, and three of our learners' orals presentations received awards. 

Dr. Alli Straubhar, MD, 2020-2023 Gynecologic Oncology Fellow, received second prize for her quality improvement (QI) project, "Optimization of postoperative opioid prescriptions in gynecologic oncology: striking a balance between opioid reduction and pain control."

Our first-year residents (Drs. Southworth, Santiago, Russell, Raja, Manorot, and White) won 3rd place for their oral presentation, entitled, "#OBGYNInternChallenge: A Social Media-Based Educational Exploration for OBGYN."

And third-year resident, Dr. Katie O'Brien, MD, won the case report award for her presentation of "Case Report of the Successful Use of Two Skyla Levonogestrel Intrauterine Devices in a Patient with a Uterine Didelphys."
