Patient Experience Learning Forum: Cultural Humility in LGBTQ+ Healthcare

Join us for an engaging presentation and panel about LGBTQ+ patient and family experiences in healthcare, and discuss opportunities to improve care, communication, and experience for all.

Program Description

Patients and families who identify as LGBTQ+ often face challenges in their healthcare. In this learning forum, Pedro Coracides from the Office of Patient Experience will share concepts and terminology applicable to people who identify as LGBTQ+, as well as concrete strategies to effectively engage with patients and families who identify as LGBTQ+. A facilitated panel of patient/family advisors and providers will share their experiences and discuss opportunities to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patients and families.
