Biography

Denise S. Kim, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology with a specialty practice in orbital and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Kim completed her medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School followed by ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. She then completed an intensive two-year fellowship in adult and pediatric Oculoplastics, Orbital, and Cosmetic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Kim specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adult and pediatric patients with eyelid and orbital disorders, including surgery for ptosis and dermatochalasis (drooping lids), ectropion/entropion/epiblepharon (malposition of eyelid), and lacrimal (tear drain) disorders; Mohs reconstruction for periorbital skin cancer; repair of eyelid and orbital trauma; Botox injections for blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm; surgical treatment and medical therapy with Tepezza for thyroid eye disease; and optic nerve sheath fenestration for idiopathic intracranial hypertension.

Dr. Kim has clinic office hours and performs surgery at both the Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor and the Brighton Center for Specialty Care. She also provides oculoplastics specialty care for veterans at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center.
