Clinical outcomes research in pediatric retinal diseases; improving ROP care delivery through evaluation of barriers to workforce expansion, standardizing best practices, and understanding factors associated with different treatment approaches; creating structured fellow training in pediatric retina.

Clinical Interests

Diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, ocular trauma, macular surgery, surgical management of complex retinal detachment, and scleral-fixated intraocular lenses; medical and surgical treatment of pediatric retinal diseases including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR), Coats’ disease, persistent fetal vasculature (PFV), pediatric retinal detachment, gene therapy for retinal dystrophies, and ocular trauma
