From the early detection of childhood eye disorders to pioneering new treatments for age-related eye conditions, we are breaking new ground. Our research is helping our family members and neighbors overcome diseases and trauma that once would have stolen their sight. We have much more to accomplish.
Private giving can often make the difference in the success of a particular program. It may provide funding needed to test a promising concept or provide additional support for an established program, all of which can accelerate the pace of research.
A philanthropic gift to the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center can support:
- Research on diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy
- Clinical trials that are translating laboratory discoveries into new therapies
- Genetic testing and counseling for individuals who have inherited eye diseases
- Facilities and programs that will enable us to attract and train the best and the brightest vision scientists and ophthalmologists
“We help people see, but we don’t do it alone. When people understand that a treatment that helped them or someone they love may not have been available without the support and foresight of others, moving science forward becomes their mission, too. That’s magical, and it is how progress happens.”
