Biography
Dr. Jennifer Weizer completed her undergraduate education at Columbia University and The Juilliard School. After completing medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, she received her residency training in ophthalmology and completed a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Following her training, Dr. Weizer joined the University of Michigan Medical School faculty as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in 2005. She practices at the Kellogg Eye Center Glaucoma Clinic, where she diagnoses, manages and treats patients with glaucoma both medically and surgically. She also specializes in the surgical management of cataracts in patients with glaucoma. Her clinical and research interests involve early detection of glaucoma, nerve fiber layer and optic nerve evaluation, healthcare guidelines and compliance, and quality improvement in healthcare.
