Dr. Matthew Stepanovich is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan in the division of Pediatric Orthopaedics. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Grand Valley State University, followed by medical school at Michigan State University where he earned Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Stepanovich completed his internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center, and fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Rady Children’s Hospital.
In 2015, after the completion of his fellowship, Dr. Stepanovich returned to the Naval Medical Center and became head of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Division and Medical Director of the Orthopaedic Physician Assistant Fellowship. Dr. Stepanovich joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in 2019, upon honorable discharge from the Navy. Clinically, he treats multiple orthopaedic conditions including spinal deformity, lower extremity disorders, hip disorders, and pediatric trauma. Dr. Stepanovich is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
