Orthopaedic trauma is a branch of orthopaedic surgery specializing in problems related to the bones, joints and soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments) of the musculoskeletal system following trauma. The Orthopaedic Trauma Service takes care of patients age 18 and over who have sustained injuries to the skeleton.
