Biography

Dr. Thatcher grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan. His childhood experience being treated by pediatric otolaryngologists led him to medicine and a career in pediatric otolaryngology. Dr. Thatcher was trained by the renowned faculty at Michigan, and is honored to join them as a colleague. He participates in multidisciplinary teams including Pediatric Tumor Board, Head and Neck Cancer Tumor Board, Melanoma Tumor Board, and the Vascular Anomalies Board.

Dr. Thatcher loves working with kids, and their parents, too. He is passionate about providing the best care to children with head and neck masses as well as other pediatric ENT disorders. He is using ultrasound in innovative ways to improve care.

Ultrasound innovation and education, Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, Clinical Quality Improvement for Neck Masses, Pediatric Airway Safety, Translational research in pediatric head & neck malignancies.
