Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Michigan Medicine!

As department chair, it is an honor to serve the region, state and nation with my colleagues here at what I believe to be one of the greatest academic institutions in the country.

Our department is a point of pride and distinction for Michigan Medicine. We are consistently recognized as one of the top ear, nose and throat programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report.  We are home to a robust faculty who provide exceptional patient care, train the next generation of leaders in the field and make innovative research discoveries. Their work is supported by a committed and compassionate staff. We provide top-notch education to medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students and post-doctoral students. Following graduation, these trainees become part of an elite group of alumni who go on to make important contributions to the field and serve in important leadership roles around the world. These alumni strengthen and build upon our rich history.

There is no place like the U-M Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. I encourage you to learn more about our work, and I welcome your questions and comments.
