At the University of Michigan Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery, we are committed to helping our patients not only survive but thrive. In addition to providing medical care, we also recognize the importance of offering our patients emotional and social support.
Coping with head and neck cancer can be difficult not only for you but for your family/caregivers. Our Head & Neck Cancer Support Group is a safe place for you and your loved ones to talk with others who are having or have had similar experiences. Here you can ask questions, share stories and build lasting friendships.
The Head & Neck Cancer Support Group, led by speech pathologist Teresa Lyden, M.A., CCC-SLP, meets monthly at the University of Michigan Health System. Meetings include presentations by guest speakers who share valuable information about head and neck cancer treatment. Refreshments are provided. For more information about upcoming meetings, view our meeting schedule. You can also stay on top of support group news and events by signing up to receive our monthly e-mail.
Patients, family, caregivers and friends are all welcome to join us at our meetings. We look forward to supporting you on this journey!
