The National Safety Council addresses America's going Drug Epidemic in their Prescription Nation 2016 Drug Report.
"Prescription opioid overdoses kill 52 people everyday. In 2014 the most recent annual statistics available, 18, 893 people died as a results of a prescription opioid overdose."
