Brain Tumor Precision Medicine Conference

8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Danto Auditorium

The next U of M CNS Tumor Precision Medicine conference is scheduled for this Monday, November 6, 8am-10am (EST).  This will include a 1 hour presentation followed by a 1 hour discussion of brain tumor patients with sequencing results (MiOncoseq) and analysis of targeted agent BBB penetration (CNS TAP) from multiple national children’s hospitals.  Our presentation is hosted by the Department of Pediatrics/Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology:

  • “Misregulation of chromatin pathways in human cancer”  - Peter Lewis, PhD (University of Wisconsin)

For those in Michigan, the conference will be in Danto Auditorium in the CVC Building.  Bagels and coffee will be provided.  For those at other institutions or unable to attend in person, we will be broadcasting via Bluejeans (video) combined with call-in (teleconference call), details for this are below.

8-9 AM – Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Research Seminar: Dr. Peter Lewis, Assistant Professor, Biomolecular Chemistry, Epigenetics, University of Wisconsin

9-10 AM – Brain Tumor Precision Medicine Conference (normal format) – patient presentations

For audio/video teleconference:

As we have previously done, we have found it best to share presentations from presenting institutions through Bluejeans (video); and use a separate dial-in conference (audio), to remove the occasional audio glitches of Bluejeans.  Here are details:

·         Video: via BlueJeans – using following meeting website: https://bluejeans.com/703887010

o    Sign in as a guest

o    Use web browser or download to desktop

o    Join using your computer –you don’t need to connect to your computer's mic or video (we will not be using a camera of participants themselves).

·         Audio: we are using a UM phone conference call.  Dial 1.734.997.7110 -> at the prompt enter 3898 and press the # sign.  In our conference room, this will link to mics/speakers above our room.  Helps to mute your phone when not talking if possible.

o    We will have an A/V technician (Justin) in our room 15 minutes prior to meeting.  If you are able to connect prior to meeting - Justin will be able to confirm you’re connected.
