Despite progress, disparities continue to exist in child health. Understanding, improving, and ultimately eliminating disparities in child health is a central goal of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee. To that end, the DEI research committee has been assembled to facilitate research related to understanding and reducing disparities in child health care, both within our practices at Michigan Medicine and more broadly on a regional, national and potentially international level. We are holding quarterly meetings during which we will discuss and disseminate information related to research resources, tools, and funding appropriate for disparity related research. We are also hoping to help to match mentors with mentees interested in disparity related research. We hope you join us.
