Arlene is an adventurous Filipina who loves trying new cuisines, hiking, and kayaking with her family. She chose Michigan because of the exceptional teaching and clinical experience.

About Sheri:
Sheri grew up in West Michigan and went to undergrad at University of Michigan, med school at MSU, then back to University of Michigan for residency and fellowship! She and her husband couples-matched here for residency, and she wanted to stay for NICU fellowship knowing that we see a wide variety of clinical cases/conditions, had great faculty and fellows, and robust training with deliveries/procedures/etc. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, friends, playing games, running, traveling, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

Gap Year Activities: Between medical school and residency Mikki worked as a general practitioner, doing ENT, pediatric surgery, primary care and pediatric ER until finally deciding to take the USMLE.

About Mikki:
Mikki is from Kingston, Jamaica. She enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures and swimming. She was tired of the sunshine, so she willingly moved to the winter wonderland state, LOL. She chose Michigan because this program is great - we see everything! Here we have a Level 4 NICU which would provide incomparable experiences and opportunities to learn and grow as a competent neonatologist.

Research Topics: Nicole is interested in simulation research and medical education as well as breastfeeding research! We will see!

About Nicole:
Nicole is a Chicago native who is a Taylor Swift fanatic, dog lover and the world's most proficient napper. She takes advantage of any opportunity to spend time on the water or tailgate a sports game. She chose Michigan because of the complexity of the patient population and the wonderful people she met during the interview process. She looks forward to converting all her Chicago family members to Michigan sports fans.

Catherine was born in Malaysia and has lived in Canada, North Carolina, Florida, and Chicagoland before venturing to Michigan for fellowship. Her love language is food, she believes accomplishments should be celebrated with ice cream cake, and her favorite thing is making people laugh!
