The Michigan Medicine Pediatrics Residency Program provides a fantastic opportunity for training in both inpatient and ambulatory pediatrics. Residents rotate at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, a 1.1 million square foot, 12 story, 345-bed facility that opened in 2011, as well as multiple satellite clinics located throughout the community. In addition to direct patient care and clinical exposure, resident education is multifaceted through clinical rotation, conference curriculum, procedural experience, and research opportunities.
Mott is the #1 children’s hospital in Michigan and the only hospital in the state ranked in every category evaluated by U.S. News & World Report.
We’re busy! Mott Children's has 345 staffed licensed beds, over 8,700 discharges a year, and over 40,000 ED visits annually.
Mott is a Level 1 Children's Surgery Center, a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and one of 6% of hospitals with Nursing Magnet designation.
The Department of Pediatrics has 18 divisions and over 250 faculty members!
