Julie Lumeng, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, in the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the School of Public Health, and a Faculty Affiliate at CHGD. Dr. Lumeng joined the faculty in 2003 as a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics and a Research Scientist at CHGD. She is well known for her research on maternal feeding practices, obesity in children, and social and cognitive influences on children's eating. Importantly, Dr. Lumeng will maintain her positions as Associate Chair for Research in Pediatrics and Faculty Lead for Clinical Research Management in the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR). Dr. Lumeng‘s appointment in this role will run from April 1, 2018 through 2020. Congratulations, Dr. Lumeng!
