Nicole Michmerhuizen has been honored with the Margaret Ayers Host Award!

Nicole Michmerhuizen (Brenner/Carey lab) has been honored with the Margaret Ayers Host Award! The award is intended to recognize Rackham students who have demonstrated exceptional scholarly achievement, a sense of social responsibility and service, and a lively interest in promoting the success of women in the academic community.

Margaret Ayers Host received a Rackham degree from the University of Michigan in 1942 and went on to study at Oxford.  She was President of the Alumni Association, Chair of the Alumnae Council, the alumni representative to the Board in Control of Intercollegiate Athletics, and a member of the Rackham Board of Governors.  After her death in 1987, the Margaret Ayers Host endowment was established to honor her memory and to support women graduate students in perpetuity.

Congrats Nicole!
