Pharmacology Students Present their Research at the 48th Annual Pharmacology Colloquium at Wayne State University

Pharmacology students traveled to the the 48th Annual Michigan Pharmacology Colloquium at Wayne State University on June 24th, 2022.  The Colloquium included students from Michigan State University, the University of Toledo, Wayne State University and the University of Michigan.

Michigan Pharmacology winners included Francisco Sanchez-Conde for his second place Podium presentation, "Probing Mechanisms of Long QT Syndrome-Associated Epilepsy with Gene-Edited Stem Cell-Derived Neurons".  Ian Chronis placed third in Podium presentation for his work,  "Identifying Novel Regulators of β2 Adrenergic Receptor Sorting and Signaling at the Endosome".  

In Poster presentation, both Shreeya Bakshi and Kelsey Kochan tied for second place.  Shreeya's presentation was "Investigation of a Pathogenic Splice Site Variant in SCN1B Linked to Dravet Syndrome", and Kelsey's presentation was "Positive Allosteric Modulation of the Mu Opioid Receptor: Studies in vivo.”
