Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? The EM program at Michigan Medicine stood out to me because of its unique model which allows you to see a wide spectrum of patients. I wanted a program that would allow me to combine my interest in pediatrics and Michigan has a pediatric ED with a dedicated pediatric ED pharmacist 24/7. In addition, the Emergency Critical Care Center (EC3) in the adult ED provides ICU level care to critically ill patients and is the only one in the nation! Finally, having a large residency cohort was important to me because the lifelong friendships you make throughout the year is one of the best parts of residency.
