Elani is originally from Detroit, MI. She received a Bachelors degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s degree from Wright State University. Prior to starting pharmacy school at U of M, she worked as a research assistant/study coordinator for a pharmacogenomics laboratory at an academic institution. As an intern in Research Pharmacy, Elani is involved in preparing and dispensing investigational medications, aiding in study management, communicating with healthcare professionals and study teams, audit preparation, and project work. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing or watching sports, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and watching movies. She hopes to pursue a residency and to become a pharmacist that helps promote wellness of the body, mind, and spirit.
