Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? I applied to Michigan because of the phenomenal preceptors, diversity of rotation experiences, various research and writing opportunities and large residency class.
Research Topic: Evaluation of doxorubicin and olaratumab treatment schedules in patients with soft tissue sarcoma
Writing Topic: Assessment of Scheduled Pharmacy Follow Up for Patients Receiving Oral Chemotherapy
Hobbies outside of pharmacy: Playing tennis, running, hiking, exploring Ann Arbor
Favorite Book: Persuasion by Jane Austen
Favorite Movie: Anything Harry Potter
Advice for future residents: There is always something fun to do throughout the year in Ann Arbor/ Michigan. Go up north in the summer to see why the Michigan slogan is Pure Michigan or stay local to go tubing down the Huron River. Also, you can contribute to residency-15 by pigging out on cider and donuts in the fall. And finally, after a snow fall, your inner child will sing, "do you want to build a snow man?"
Advice on how to prepare for Michigan winters: "Winter is coming," -Ned Stark. He may have been 6-7 seasons too late on his prediction in the Game of Thrones but Michigan winters are sadly very punctual. Wear fluffy parkas, warm snow boots and all the other winter accessories that comes to mind to stay warm.
