Advice for future residents: Residency is a process of rapid learning! It'll feel like there's never a dull moment, and even though it's a busy time, I hope you'll lean on the support of your co-residents, your friends, and your loved ones. Oftentimes we focus on this idea of "delayed gratification," as a bridge to get to where we want to go professionally. My advice is this: go on that trip you've always wanted to. Attend that workout class that you've been meaning to. Give yourself some grace and be open about the struggles you experience. There's a high chance that someone else feels the same way.
