Biography

Pharmacy team lead for the Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Currently our program has 3 specific daily patient care responsibilities: drug-based stewardship, outcomes based stewardship and ID consult. Our team is heavily involved in QI initiatives linked to reimbursement and joint commission standards, which requires collaborations with a lot of groups across the health care system! I typically tailor the resident rotation based on previous experiences and interest. Generally, I like residents to have some antibiotic stewardship experiences, ID consult experiences, and experiences with QI initiatives. We have 5 adult ID consult teams, and I usually prefer to have residents round with the main teaching team. However, we can also provide experience rounding with the ID Transplant team. I’ve been lucky enough to serve in a leadership capacity at several organizations, including president of Antimicrobial Stewardshipin Cancer Consortium; Leadership group for the antimicrobial subcommittee of Infectious Disease society of America;and Vizient Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee
