Biography
Hometown: Jacksonville, NC
Pharmacy School: University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy
Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? I was looking for a program that had a balance of rigor and support. University of Michigan has a variety of clinical learning opportunities, in addition to research and writing opportunities. I knew that I could develop my clinical skills here and learn about topics and disease states I did not get to explore during school. Though wanted to learn and be challenged throughout my residency, I also wanted to have a strong sense of community to support me through it. I've definitely found that community here in my co-residents, RPD, preceptors, and mentors!
Research Topic: Assessment of the Safety and Efficacy of Direct Oral Anticoagulants as Compared to Warfarin in Patients with Body Mass Index > 40 mg/k2
Writing Topic: Optimizing Immunosuppressant Dosing For Living-Donor Transplant Recipients
Hobbies outside of pharmacy: Visiting museums, aquariums, and zoos; making my own lattes and drinks (coffee, matcha, chai, etc.); cooking; journaling; reading; exploring new foods and restaurants
Favorite Book: A Series Of Unfortunate Events
Favorite Movie: Mulan
Favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor: Miss Kim
Advice for future residents: When applying for residency programs, do not only think about what you can offer the program, but also what the program can offer you!
