Lisa Giangardella, PharmD

PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Resident

Hometown: North Canton, OH

Pharmacy School: Ohio State University College of Pharmacy

Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? I am interested in three different aspects of pharmacy: community pharmacy, ambulatory care, and specialty pharmacy. This program not only allows me to spend ample time in clinic but also I have the opportunity of working with the specialty pharmacy expanding my knowledge on these medications and disease states. I am staffing in the outpatient pharmacy which allows me to expand on my problem solving clinical skills. I am not only working closely with patients and helping them meet their individualized goals but also working with experienced and knowledgeable preceptors who all have one common goal of putting the patient at the center of their work.
