Why did you choose Michigan's residency program?: I wanted a program that has strong core values in patient care, research, education, and community. The residency program here at Michigan encompasses all of this and more through the variety of clinical rotations offered, through the extensive vetting of research projects, through the layered-learning model, and through the engagement in community outreach.
Research Topic: Comparison of high dose and low dose mineralocorticoid receptor antagonism in chronic heart failure
Writing Project: Conversion to Basaglar from insulin glargine or insulin detemir and effects on insulin dosing and glucose control.
Hobbies outside of Pharmacy: Outside of pharmacy school, I love going to concerts and stand-up comedy shows, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and exploring the best places for brunch!
Favorite Book: My Sister's Keeper
Favorite Movie: 10 Things I Hate About You
Advice for future residents: Find a program that will challenge you and push you outside of your comfort zone. You will learn more than you imagined and be a better pharmacist at the end of it all!
