Raneem Pallotta, PharmD

PGY-1 Health-System Pharmacy Resident

Biography

Hometown: Troy, MI

Pharmacy School: Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED)

Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? I'm originally from Michigan so I knew I wanted to head back home at some point in my career. The University of Michigan was one of the first accredited pharmacy residency training programs in the nation and is the top hospital system in Michigan. I immediately clicked with the program during a virtual meet and greet. Working with a large residency class and over 150 dedicated preceptors has to be one of my favorite things about being a UMich resident. I knew this was an excellent fit for me (even if my husband went to Ohio State) ...

Advice for future residents: Network! You will hear it a million times but trust me, it is true - pharmacy is a small world! Reach out to current or past residents and ask your preceptors about their pharmacy journey. Everyone has a very unique story :)
