Sahaana Veeravalli, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Biography

Hometown: Charlotte, NC

Pharmacy School: University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy

Why did you choose Michigan's residency program?: I chose Michigan because the residency program is structured in a way that will help me achieve my short-term and long-term goals. Practicing at a large academic medical center is a great way for me to work at the top of my license and gain exposure to research and academia. Moreover, it was very clear during interviews that there is an abundance of support built into the program via brilliant co-residents, preceptors, mentors, and our RPD!

Advice for future residents: When applying for residency programs, be honest with yourself about what is non-negotiable for you, and do not be afraid to not rank a program that violates a non-negotiable. Trust that everything will work out in the end!
