We are proud of our resident research program, which mentors our residents from project initiation to, in many cases, publication.  Residents who are considering a research career will find the resources of the department and of the greater University of Michigan community to be a major benefit to helping to jumpstart their careers.  Our didactic program includes many “extras,” including a series on manual medicine techniques.  Resident graduates are prime candidates for one our local fellowships, including Pediatrics, Spine, Sports, Pain, Spinal Cord Injury, and Neuromuscular.

Along with a top rated, well-rounded training program, choosing Michigan also includes the opportunity to spend some time in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Ann Arbor is a beautiful college town with places of natural beauty, cultural events usually reserved for larger cities, and opportunities for sports and recreation locally and within a few hours away.  Lake Michigan and the Mackinac area are wonderful places to spend a few days, relaxing by the incomparable Great Lakes.  For families, the school system is top notch and there are many activities and opportunities for children.  Of course, the football and basketball teams, as well as all of the other sports teams, are top attractions as well.

There are many reasons to choose the University of Michigan for the next stage in your career.  Please spend some time on our website.  Check out all of our clinical, educational and research opportunities.  And please come for a visit.  We look forward to seeing you in Ann Arbor.
