Dr. John J. Danko is a board-certified, Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan. Dr. Danko attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, New York University School of Medicine in 2015. After completing his residency, Dr. Danko served as an attending physiatrist at Christiana Care in Delaware, where he served as the physician leader of the limb loss clinic and also provided rehabilitation care for patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, polytrauma and other neurological disorders.
His current clinical responsibilities at Michigan Medicine includes medically complex rehabilitation in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and functional restoration of patients with extremity weakness or limb loss at the Orthotics & Prosthetics Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
