Dr. Carrie Pilarski, PhD
Dr. Carrie Pilarski, a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Michigan Medicine, has been awarded with the Harold Yuker Award for Research Excellence from the American Psychological Association (APA). This annual award is given to the first author of the most highly rated paper published in the journal, Rehabilitation Psychology, during the previous year.
Dr. Pilarski and her colleagues received this award to recognize her publication, “#SaytheWord” about using the word disability rather than avoiding it with euphemisms (“Multi-abled” for example). This is a great honor and recognition. Congratulations, Dr. Pilarski!
