Bones in Balance 2

What is Bones in Balance 2?

Bones in Balance 2 is an exercise class for graduates of the Bones in Balance Physical Therapy program. This class will reinforce safe bone exercise including stretching, balance, posture, core, and overall body strength. Various exercise equipment will be used including fitness balls, foam rollers, and large therapy balls. The importance of maintaining all of the components of physical fitness will be emphasized in a safe and enjoyable environment. 

How Do I Get Started?

All participants interested in Bones in Balance 2 must have completed the Bones in Balance PT program prior to enrollment. Bones in Balance is a comprehensive self-management osteoporosis program that meets twice a week for 4 weeks and is covered by most insurances. When Are Classes Offered?

Bones in Balance 2 is offered once a week every few months. It is typically held for 6 weeks but may change due to the instructor's schedule.     

Fall 2019 Schedule

September 11th - October 16th, 2019

Class Price
4 classes: $85.00            Drop-in: $25/session

There will be no class Wednesday, October 2nd.

To reserve a place in class, you must register for the 4-week session by September 6th, 2019. Registration is based on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Call the Transition Training Studio to register at (734) 232 -1196. You can pay by credit card over the phone or bring a check written to "Michigan Medicine" with you to the first class. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

If you decide to drop-in, you are not guaranteed a spot.

Drop-in payment must be made at time of class at the Transitions Training Studio Suite 12.

Class minimum: 5 participants                     Class maximum: 10 participants


Diane Agno, PT
Diane has been a physical therapist for 40 years. In the last 10 years, she has focused on educating individuals with low bone density on the benefits of safe exercise. She has received a Level 1 certification by Sara Meeks in "The Meeks Method®".

Where are the classes offered?
Class is held in the 2nd floor Aerobics Room at 325 East Eisenhower in Ann Arbor in the Michigan Medicine Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
